Hi there,

We have the Azure Recovery Agent installed (version 2.0.9037.0) on DPM 2012 R2 Update Rollup 10 (version 4.2.1473.0).

It is backing up various items and most jobs back up fine, but there is one that keeps failing. When it does fail this is recorded in the Application event log:

Faulting application name: cbengine.exe, version: 2.0.9037.0, time stamp: 0x57346097
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.3.9600.18233, time stamp: 0x56bb4ebb
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00000000000944c0
Faulting process id: 0xd88
Faulting application start time: 0x01d1d941a5d3dc4e
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Azure Recovery Services Agent\bin\cbengine.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll
Report Id: f550eb59-4537-11e6-80c9-a4bf01008d5d
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:

I've manually created a short term disk backup to ensure that the local copy was up to date before creating an online recovery point, but that didn't help.

I've completely updated the DPM and source servers, restarted servers, re-installed the recovery agent, moved the scratch location (which is on a dedicated drive) but none of these things have helped. I've run sfc /scannow as well.

What should I try next? Thanks.
