Azure server backup online to azure will fail with volumes containing large amounts of files. Local backup to disk is working well for all volumes. The online backup job for the affected large volume will gets to a particular point and then stop. It is different everytime. there are no errors in event viewer as the job never officially fails. The job will then run for days transferring no data, DPRMA service is not started and no data being transferred across the network.
Links are more than capable(100mbx100mb) and the gateway/firewall has exclusions and the logs are clear from errors. No local antivirus running on Azure server backup VM. All other cloud backups complete for all other volumes without any issues. When I bring the file count on the affected volume down to around 700-900K files, then the online cloud backup will finish properly. I am unsure if it is related to file number or size?
