We have been trying to work out what is the best practices for patching physical hosts that are protected by on site MABS?
We need basically a nice way to stop all jobs (ideally promptly...) once a month to install patches, followed by reboots without corrupting backups or requiring consistency checks. We can't have jobs start up again till we are ready to move on given updates can take a while to install.
In our case, each site has at least 1 physical host with a stack of VMs, backed up by a MABS VM.
Given everyone has to do this now and then, any suggestions on concluded best practices to do it reliably and repeatedly?
