Hi
We have a SQL server in a Azure Vm hosting 275 databases, and would like to use Azure Backup for Sql in azure vm (preview).
Its a standalone, windows 2016 server, with SQL 2017 standard, all databases is placed in a named instance.
Now I'm able to discover the server and databases, but if I use the autoprotect feature, and select the instance. It check off all the databases ( and shows that one instance I selected ), but no databases is registering, when I enable the backup.
If I go back to the server in azure backup, autoprotect is on, but no instances is selected and no databases is showing.
If I disable autoprotect and click through all 2075 databases it seems to work, but I need the autoprotect features as new databases is created once in a while and need protection.
My policy is
1 full backup on Saturday
Diff backup sun,mon,tue,wed,thu,fri
Log backup, every 30min.
Will it only detect the databases at the first full backup or is this feature not working as intended ?
best regards
Michael
