Not to beat a dead horse, but I'm one of many looking for a solution to this glaring issue with notifications for successful backups. We are using MARS running on a server, on-premise, backing up the data directly to Azure Recovery Services Vault. I found the article explaining how to setup alerts and although it's for Azure VM's, I figured it might work for what I needed. So, not only has Microsoft left out a very critical component to disaster recovery best practices, the documentation at which to mitigate the oversight is outdated. The Log Filters are not the same with the updated portal as what's in the documentation. ??? SMH..... Sometimes you wonder if they have anyone within the product development teams that actually use the products. The development group needs to get involved with their support team to learn the shortcomings of some of the most basic, yet critical, components. If they had to work closely with support I'm sure it would make for a better product. Done with my rant. Anyone have any solutions they have worked out on their own? My next option is probably to create a scheduled task that looks for an event in the Windows log to generate an alert. ??
Thanks in advance!
