Hi all,
Apologies in advance for asking a complete noob question, but I'm training up at the moment and neither Linux nor Azure is my core area, so I'm probably missing something blindingly obvious to others here.
I have just been working my way through restoring individual files on a Linux VM. The actual instrictions were pretty good in respect of the restore process itself, but seem to have a minor hole at the end. I guess they have assumed that people will know what
to do if they're a Linux admin.
What happens is that after recovering the files I go to the File Recovery blade in the portal and click "Unmount Disks". This works without any issues. However, when I go back to the server where the mount point was I still see the python script and
a directory that the restore points were mounted under. Obviously, I would expect to remove the python file manually, but I wasn't sure what to do with the directory. I originally thought that the unmount process would cause it to vanish.
testadmin@testVM:~$ sudo ls ./testVM-20190404084534
Scripts Volume1 Volume2 Volume3
Would I be expected to delete it manually each time and, if so, what's the quickest/safest way? I know it's fairly trivial stuff, but I just expected to see these housekeeping steps in the documentation, that's all.
Thanks in advance.
