Hello. We have been having this problem on one of the 2 Server 2012 machines we are trying to backup using Azure. Regardless of how I change the backup bandwidth settings, and at what times I specify for work/non-work hours, azure uses all of the bandwidth available. I would like to set it to 512/kbps but any changes I make are useless. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
We have a 2mb/up connection, and using the performance view of the task manager in 2012 server it shows a constant 2 - 2.2/mbps being used with settings of 256/kbps during work, and 512kbps after work.
The way it sits right now, when Azure is running the server becomes painfully slow, as one of it's bigger uses is as a Remote Desktop Host Server. I would like to keep using Azure, but having this portion of the software broken is a deal breaker.
Also, I have another server I am backing up with Azure which is also running Server 2012. The throttling is working fine on that machine. On the server where the throttle isn't working, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the agent, unregistering and reregistering the server, and neither worked. I am out of ideas of what to try next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I have also checked the file CDSettings.xml, which I assume is where the settings are stored, and it shows the same info as the server that is throttling correctly.
