Hi, since I couldn't find a way to report a bug on the new Recovery Services Backup feature, I am posting it here in case someone can figure it out.
Whenever I try to initiate a VM image backup on a large VM, the backup fails after about half an hour) with
Please retry the operation in a few minutes. If the problem persists, contact Microsoft Support.Snapshot VM sub task timed out.
The VM is a D14 with an OS disk and an extra 1TB attached VHD.
The process fails on the 'initial backup' stage.
In my experience there is a silly timeout somewhere and kills the process which obviously takes a bit longer because the image is largish, but I don't know. This needs to be reported to the Azure team somehow.
Is there a way to report this officially to Microsoft Azure?
