We have a multi server SharePoint 2013 farm in azure with servers for WFE, SQL, APP. We currently use Azure backup to back up these servers without shutting them down. My understanding is that the 3 VMs are backed up but not at exactly the same time.
Hypothetically, if we had a situation where a VM in the farm needed to be restored from backup from 3 days ago, I expect I would need to restore all 3 VMs from that night's backups? Will my SharePoint farm be in a consistent state? Will I need to do anything additional such as flushing the SharePoint cache in order to make the farm usable?
