We have a dozen clients backing up with Azure and probably less than half complete without errors and warnings. I'm struggling with the lack of documentation on failures but slowly gathering a knowledge base on the limitations and known issues with Azure Cloud Backup.
So I'm starting with this customer, CloudBackup Operational log indicates Event ID 11 "The backup operation has completed with errors."
In the GUI the error tab states: The operation failed because of a protection failure. Retry the operation. (0x003E6)
I have loads of warning and fatal lines in the CBEngine.errlog but I get loads of warnings on the successful jobs on other servers so I'm not sure what is relevant, the file is about 14MB and contains sensitive information (computer names and such) that I don't want to publish it.

But it fails to indicate where I find such codes, or perhaps we're falling victim to Microsoft's poor naming conventions and those codes only apply to the Azure VM Backup, not the on-premise "Azure Cloud Backup" software that we are using.
