Hello,
There have been a lot of post regarding this issue, usually addressed by using the newer version of the program, or changing the date/time to be more accurate.
I have the exact same error on a particular "Trouble server", but somehow, there is another cause.
Date and time settings are all correct. I can register a different server or PC with the same vault credentials that fail on the "trouble server".
Currently, I have attempted..
change time zones, reboot, change back, reboot. no change.
Change time and time zones, reboot, change back, reboot again. no change.
Uninstalled Azure backup software, change data and time, reboot, change date and time back, reboot, reinstall software. no change.
removed backup vault, uninstalled software, unregistered server. rebuilt backupvault, reinstalled software. no change.
I have even looked into the certificate store to see if there were old credentials stored from old attempted installs. - there were not.
I am getting to my wits end with this issue, as I cant find any further support for this other than, change date/time.
This is the exact error it give me on failure
"Invalid vault credentials provided. The file is either corrupted or does not have the latest credentials associated with recovery service. (ID: 34513)
We recommend you download a new vault credentials file from the portal and use it within 2 days."
ADDITONAL INFORMATION.
This server was registered for backup before. but I had to change backup vaults.
everything was fine, server was remove, and vault deleted.
when I attempted to re-register the server, for the first time on the new backup vault..
I clicked on "Register server" and the whole backup program hung. indefinitely.
I had to crash the program, and it never worked properly again, even after many reinstalls.
