Hello. I set up Backup to Azure from my server. In Azure panel I can see only total space usage and restore points count.
Does Azure have detailed statistic of space usage per restore point?
Hi,
Have downloaded the Azure Backup Agent for the Files/Folders. Agent installed and ran the first manual jobs successfully. Scheduled the subsequent job to run automatically on daily basis. However, I noticed that the job did not run at the scheduled timing.
No error captured in the snap in or in the windows server event log.
However from C:\Program Files\Microsoft Azure Recovery Services Agent\Temp folders, there are few errors logs.
Due to the huge long contents, please see the error logs from
here.

Hi All
We are migrating from tape to Azure backup, progressively adding more volumes and data until everything is initially seeded. Unfortunately I have been constantly up against this issue which is making me seriously doubt our continued use of Azure backup.
Our setup:
DPM Server: 2012 R2
DPM: 2012 R2 UR10
Azure backup agent: 2.0.9040.0
Volume being backed up is general user file shares on a 2012 R2 Server. Deduplication is enabled on this volume. Data size is 1.9TB and our typical data churn each night is approximately 10-20GB.
Our online recovery points are failing at a very high rate due to errors encounted with individual files.
DPM console:
An error was encountered while performing an operation for C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012 R2\DPM\DPM\Volumes\Replica\File System\vol_db2a28f4-1813-4284-872a-8ac5b73d6478\78f1d767-8092-4d0e-953e-90d8700e2d9f\Full\<file path\file name>. (ID 100091)
Event Viewer:

I have tried:
-chkdsk on the source volume and the DPM replica volume
-consistency checks
-full deduplication integrity scrubbing job (source volume only) followed by consistency checks, sync and new recovery point.
-DPM server reboot
-ensuring the file is not open on the network when a sync/recovery point is created.
-there is no corruption or issues accessing this file on the network.
-there are no issues with the DPM local syncs and recovery point creations, only the online recovery point creation fails.
This single file has been causing this issue over the consecutive past 4 nights despite the troubleshooting steps. This is only the current situation however we have been having this issue occur many times over a short period trying to migrate to Azure with many different files and file types on the volume we are trying to backup however one-way or the other I seem to be able to get it working again - this time not so much.
Thank you for any assistance in advance.
Hi All
As an additional troubleshooting step to my issue posted HERE I'd like to try deleting the scratch.
Can I simply stop the backup engine, delete the contents of the scratch folder then start the backup engine again?
Thanks
Hi There,
I have created a storage account on azure and imported the publishing settings file to my sql 2014 server, when creating a credential, the storage account will not appear in the dropdown when configuring the credential. Can someone point me in the right direction for this? Does the storage account need to be classic instead of resource manager?

Hi,
I am trying to test restore a restore points of the folders/files from Microsoft Azure on a difference server. Upon loading the vault credential (just downloaded from the azure portal) and clicked next, I have encountered the following error.
Appreciate your advise.
Thank you.
Currently out the box, it is not possible to backup legacy Windows 2003 Servers.
I have heard a rumour that if you install the DPM 2012 agent you can get MABS to backup Server 2003.
Is this correct, is there another method of backup up legacy servers?
Enable-AzureRmBackupContainerReregistration will not work after disable-azurermrecoveryservicesbackupprotection without removing backups. The disable call does not remove the backup but associates a blank policy with it; after this Enable-AzureRmBackupContainerReregistration will not work as it indicates protection is already on the VM. As I am using a recovery server vault not a backup vault the call enable-azurermbackupcontainerreregistration does not seem to help me.
HI, I have a problem with Microsoft Azure Backup when I execute the backup and it fail with the message : "The service version of the backup service and the Microsoft Azure Recovery Services Agent do not match". Already updated the MARS to last version (2.0.9042.0).
Any help would be appreciate.
Hello all,
I keep getting this event logged in DPM 2012 SP1 as a Critical error and no matter what I do I cannot get it to disappear.
"Backup policies configured on Windows Azure Backup are out of sync with this DPM server. (ID 33413)"
Coupled with clickable links to "Inactivate" and "Refresh Online Policies". Neither of these seems to do anything that removes this issue from my DPM server.
Backups works and there seems not be any problems with storage space.
The Azure agent seems to be of latest version since there are no messages in DPM about upgrading it and no problems with Online Backup either, certificates and all are all there and works.
Regards
/John
Morning ,
I am trying to backup on premise virtual machines (running in hyper-v cluster), the Vm's are on a CSV .
Setup my recovery services and vault, downloaded the Azure backup server (which is basically a slim down version of DPM) to one
of the hyper-v hosts in the cluster,
Registered the Server to the Vault using the conditionals downloaded,
rebooted the machine
The first thing i notice is that my cluster is now in a warning state, with the below error
Cluster Shared Volume 'Volume1' ('CSV Volume name') has identified one or more active filter drivers on this device stack that could interfere with CSV operations. I/O access will be redirected to the storage device over the network through another Cluster node. This may result in degraded performance. Please contact the filter driver vendor to verify interoperability with Cluster Shared Volumes.
Active filter drivers found: SIS (HSM)
After hours of googling , the only way to fix this seems to be to run the command :-
Dism /online /Disable-Feature /FeatureName:SIS-Limited
Anyway , now the real issue,
When i Run DPM and go through the protection wizard, when i get the choose what i want to backup I click hyper-v and two things happens
1) No virtual machines show in local machine to backup
2) No virtual machines show in the cluster to backup
Any ideas anyone?
Hi,
We have an on-premise backup set up for some folders in one of our server, on the portal we can see it listed under "Backup Items" however we don't see it listed under Monitoring and Reports>Backup Job option? why?
Thanks
We have just installed Azure Backup at a customer site by using the agent for Windows Server. There are a lot of data to be backed up and the initial backup is going to take several days.
This is an RDS server and the problem here is that no one is able to reach the server by RDP while the backup is running. I have activated internet bandwith throttling and tested both responce time with ping and available bandwith during backup. It seems like the server is loosing some of its internet connection during backup. I'm able to ping from the server, but I'm unable to reach HTTP etc. during backup (transfer of data).
I have tried searching for a solution to this problem, but are unable to find the reason for this.
Does anyone know the solution for this problem? Any help would be appreciated :-).

Hi,
there is a way to safety remove old files created by Azure Backup Agent during trial period (We know tht this vault cannot be changed from Trial to Payed Azure Signature)?
We found files created on the following path for 'Vault01' during Trial Period:
#############################################
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Azure Recovery Services Agent\Scratch\VHDs\{B52B446F-3C37-4E64-B70A-70D4E2ECDB2F}
Now, after remove that server and also the 'Vault01' from Azure Portal, and also register the server again using the file for 'Vault02' (Payed Azure Signature), we found files on the following path:
###################################
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Azure Recovery Services Agent\Scratch\VHDs\{482C5CBE-3A09-4D2C-928E-593D05B138EF}
When we tried to delete (03) files on the path for 'Vault01' as mentioned before, shows a message that these fies are been used by System process and then cannot delete them.
